It was great to see all of the USAGEM Family again and participate in the program. I was really surprised at winning the "Pearl Award" and I want to Thank all who were involved in making this happen. It means so much to me and I am trully Humbled to have been Awarded this Honor.
I feel we have one of the best Organizations around, with people that work from the heart and really care about one another. We're all working for God in our own ways with the very different talents God has blessed us with.

Each of us has a story. We all have backgrounds, experiences, challenges and celebrations that have shaped us to be the women we are today. The Bible says we are to uplift and encourage others. I think each of us can use our stories to help other women. So, here’s a little of my story and I hope it will inspire and motivate you to share your story with others.
Born in “L.A.” (in this case, “Lower Ashton”), a small community on the outskirts of Walterboro, South Carolina, Rene’ was raised singing in the church. His family was involved in farming, and he spent many hours singing while riding the tractors and working the land. In his teens, Rene’ joined the gospel group The Beacons, and it was this background that gave Rene’ his vibrant and smooth voice of today. He sings with passion, putting his heart, body and soul into his music, making his audience feel the presence of the Lord in his life.

Buttercups have always been my favorite flower. While I love them for their simple beauty, I admire them most for their courage. They fearlessly blaze the trail for springtime to follow.
